The world continues to be warned of coming food shortages which will force more people into poverty with major civil unrest to be the likely outcome. In addition, due to droughts and other causes, famines will become prevalent throughout the globe. This is just what Jesus warned of, as he spoke of the last days.
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Matthew 24:7-8 NIV

High-tech seeds and innovations in chemicals and farming will not be enough to solve looming food shortages for the world, according to a report issued Tuesday by a committee formed by food and chemicals conglomerate DuPont. Billions of dollars in private investment, government incentives and charitable work must be funneled into collaborative projects if global food production is to match growing demand, the report urged.
